What determines the real scope of an exterior project isn't the surface everyone looks at, it's the sheathing, trim, and framing underneath it. That's why we look at the actual house before quoting anything.

A section of siding that looks like a straightforward swap can turn out to have soft sheathing behind it, and that changes the work. The honest way to handle that is to look first and say so up front, rather than quote a clean number and revise it once the wall is open. When we walk the exterior with you, we're checking the condition of what's behind the surface, not just what's on it.
Exterior work is also weather-dependent in a way interior work isn't. Water has to stay out of the house every night the project is open, so the sequence matters — how much gets opened at once, and what gets closed back up before the day ends. We'll talk through that plan for your specific house at the on-site visit.
Exterior questions we get asked
Can you price it from a photo I send?
Not accurately. A photo shows the surface, and exterior scope is usually decided by what's behind it. We come look in person and give you a written estimate from what's actually there.
What happens if you find damage once the siding comes off?
We tell you, and we scope it before continuing. Rot or soft sheathing behind siding is common enough that we look for signs of it during the estimate — but if something turns up once a wall is open, you hear about it from us before any additional work happens.
Do you handle gutters as part of the same project?
Yes. Gutters, siding, and roof edge all meet at the same place, so it often makes sense to look at them together rather than as separate jobs. We'll scope whichever parts you want included.
